• Facebook Competitions – By entering competitions that we run on facebook you agree to receive marketing material from us via text/email/phone from time to time. We will also post the winners name on our facebook page along with a photograph of the winner being presented with the prize. If the prize is a Shades product we may also post a photograph of the installed product.

General Terms & Conditions
Any statutory consumer rights enjoyed by you are not affected in any way by these terms and conditions of sale.
Please read the product terms and conditions carefully as they set out the terms under which Shades Blinds makes the products available to you. Please read our terms and conditions before purchasing online. When buying goods from our website you enter an agreement with Shades Window Blinds Limited trading from 3 Drum Mains Park, Orchardton Woods, Westfield, G68 9LD. These terms and conditions will apply from when you place an order with us.
These product terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Scottish Law and only the Scottish courts will decide any disputes.
On all orders we reserve the right to deliver your order up to 28 days after purchase date, any deliveries after this time are subject to full refund if requested.
Secure Payment
For our customers’ added peace of mind, Shades Blinds accept online payments from the established, trusted payment companies WorldPay and Paypal, using all major credit cards and debit cards. Rest assured, your payment card details will be encrypted to minimise any possibility of unauthorised access or disclosure. You will only be charged for items at the point of order, so shop relaxed and enjoy the experience. Once your order has been placed you will receive a confirmation order email from Shades Blinds which will act as your reference document and proof of purchase.
Lowest Price Promise: Double the Difference Refund
Shades Blinds guarantee that should a customer find an identical product with any other retailer, at a price lower than that offered by Shades Blinds, we will refund double the difference in price. This price promise is given and made on all our made to measure blinds including vertical blinds, roller blinds, blackout blinds, venetian blinds, all wood blinds as well as rigid PVC blinds and conservatory blinds. This Promise extends to 60 days after a purchase from Shades Blinds. We reserve the right to change or discontinue the Promise without notice.
Prices and charges
The price you will pay is the price shown at the checkout and on your confirmation email. These prices are inclusive of VAT and the total price shown is the price you will pay. Standard delivery within mainland UK is charged at our standard rate of £7.95. Deliveries out with the UK mainland will carry an extra delivery charge, as will special delivery services / requests as per information on our online ordering forms. FREE delivery on all orders over £199.
Returns / Damaged Goods
You have seven days following receipt of your goods to report any damage or defect due to manufacturing, or damage caused in the delivery process. We only replace damaged goods on a like for like basis. We reserve the right to ask for digital pictures with regards to the issues reported or to ask for the product to be returned to us for inspection. This does not affect your statutory rights. Order Processing / Cancellation
When ordering your goods you are entering in to a legal binding contract, under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2015.
As the goods are made to measure, if you request that you would like a contract to start before the end of your 14 day cancellation period, then you will be obliged to pay for any of the goods and services provided prior to any cancellation by you within the cancellation period in accordance with the reasonable requirements of the contract.
We have the right to cancel your order if we have insufficient stock to process your order or if the goods ordered have been discontinued.
If an item is out of stock we will notify you as soon as possible to let you know of the delay.
If for any reason beyond our control we are unable to supply a particular item, we will notify you as soon as possible. No discounts or compensation can be offered under these unforeseen circumstances.
Measurements / Measuring Guide
All of the goods we offer are made to sizes specified by you, the customer. It is your responsibility to take the correct measurements of your window. If you are unsure about any products or how to measure please call our Customer Support Team for help before ordering or consult the online measuring guide. You must check the product details and measurements of the goods before placing your order online and you are responsible for checking the order via the email confirmation. As all of Shades Blinds’ products are made to measure, we cannot accept returns or provide refunds if you have given us any incorrect measurements.
Made to Measure Products
Made to measure products are custom made by Shades Blinds to your stated requirements. Once made our products are suitable only to you and therefore cannot be cancelled or returned. Because of this it is extremely important that you are sure about the product that you want and also the size you require. We advise that you take advantage of our free sample service before placing an order. We strongly recommend that you double check your order to ensure that the products ordered and measurements taken are correct. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Please note that our fabric is cut by highly skilled professionals who will be as accurate as possible within a variance of +/- 2cm. We will not replace the order if the sizes are within this tolerance limit and you will not be entitled to reject the goods.
Colour Variation
Most fabrics are dyed and therefore each batch can vary slightly in shade. Due to colour variations between product batches we cannot guarantee shade matching for previous orders. In addition, samples dispatched to you may also be slightly different in shade to the eventual order received. Due to the print design of some pattern fabrics it may be that the sample dispatched does not show the full range of colours or pattern design. If you are in any doubt as to the precise nature of the fabric you are advised to call our Customer Support Team on 0333 777 8557 for further advice.
Product Imagery / Photography / Description
All products we offer are either photographed or digitally produced and are accurately displayed on the website. However, due to different types, styles and settings of various digital devices, shading and colour may appear differently to the exact colour in reality. We therefore strongly advise that you request a free sample prior to placing your order to ensure that you are happy with the colour before ordering. Whilst every attempt will be made by Shades Blinds to ensure that the goods sold and delivered match in every respect any sample or description shown or sent to you, change in colour or pattern between the sample or description and the goods delivered shall not entitle you to reject the goods nor to claim any compensation for such variation or change.
